A new $60 million world headquarters located in Monroe, Michigan, gives La-Z-Boy a place that works for each one of their 500 employees. Rudolph 糖心视频 Inc. brought its full portfolio of services with its streamlined site selection and acquisition process which included a financial incentives package and facilitation of off-site roadway/utility improvements.
Replacing the company鈥檚 85-year old headquarters, the project utilized Rudolph 糖心视频's design/build delivery method which was instrumental in keeping the complex project on schedule through two of the region's harshest winters on record. The project made full use of Building Information Modeling (BIM) with significant benefits realized from bidding out fabrication-ready structural steel models.
Built to the latest energy-efficient standards, the four-story building features a glassed-in lobby with an oak savanna view and natural lighting. The LEED Silver-certified space makes use of a geothermal well field, LED lighting and an energy efficient global data center. Housed on a 120-acre campus, the building includes an open floor plan designed for a flexible, collaborative work environment, with a full-service employee marketplace, kitchen and rooftop garden terraces.
The La-Z-Boy world headquarters was recognized as an "Outstanding Project of 2015" by the Construction Association of Michigan.

The fact that it finished on time, on budget, very few hiccups, to me is pretty amazing for a project this size. We had extremely high expectations, but this far exceeded our expectations.
